Minoan Labyrinth Wall Plaque

Minoan Labyrinth Wall Plaque

This seven-circuit labyrinth dates back to 1200 BC in Greece. A single, continuous pathway winds into its center. This same design has been found in Europe (Ireland, Denmark, Sweden and Finland) and, among the North and South American Indian tribes, as well as in Pakistan, India, Africa, and Australia.

This labyrinth seems to have a magical ability to cross cultures and times. It symbolizes the cycle of life, death and rebirth. It was used by Shamans for healing and in seasonal celebrations by walking and dancing on the paths to the center. It can also be placed outside the home for protection. Use your finger to trace the pattern and enter a quiet place of meditation and reflection.
